Nineth Day: Minor problems

Though most of our filming was going great, we encountered more setbacks along the way. We had gotten our first scenes added to our main video. However when we got further into the dedicated scenes we had to face the problem which we feared to face for a while. The driving part... It was a trouble. With one of us not knowing to drive, but old enough, and the other knowing how to drive, but not having the permit to do so. This caused us law problems. If we got caught driving without a license, we could have gotten fined. Also the problem of not having available cars to use. And to be honest, we still haven't had the right house established for our video. We needed a more mansion-like house to portray the richness and fineness of the stalker. However, our house was more of a decent home middle wage looking. Also talking about looks, we also struggled on finding the outfits for the main characters. Parts of the outfits required for them were pretty hard to find and cost a little to much to our expense. So we mostly got creative and put on something together that matches it. One of our main problems with filming was trying to avoid getting too many faces in the taking of our scenes. Since we were obviously filming in a public setting there were many strangers passing by. We didn't want to expose or many anyone uncomfortable for appearing on camera. It was frustrating having to retake scenes. And even with these problems in place, we still managed to finish the film. It was hard but worth it.

Title research: "Underwater"

January 12/24 What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? "Underwater" inserts its title following after a small speech. With an eerie soundtrack in the back fading in as the text appears. Then the title fades in, the letters in a crossed pattern. The credits are shown after in a thin font type, with a pure white color making it stand out in black. What images are prioritized in the opening sequences? It provides us with the specific water body and where the movie takes place. Inserting map markings and newspaper publishing about incidents and information about the place. Images of the structure found in it. And the probable sea monster, which is the main reason for the movie. How does the film establish a feeling of a genre from the outset? It helps establish the feeling of the genre, however, it gives off more first as suspense rather than horror. Fourth Day: Editing starts

February 26 / 2024 2 After taking the necessary shots that make up most of our video, we decided to finally add them to the actual project. To find which app we would use, we went through tutorials of different apps. We went through Alight Motion, Video Star, Kinemaster, Capcut, etc. In the end, we finalized using capcut because it was the simplest and easiest editor to use. Alight Motion was too complex and specific, too much work to adjust one scene. Video Star required in-app purchases which we decided was not necessary for the video. Kinemaster needed to be more complex and had an unremovable unwanted watermark. Using capcut, we started a new project and added our taken shots. To begin with, the opening scene is a black screen with letters that spell out, "our studio name presents".
