My Groups Genre Decision!

Image
Making a choice was difficult after extensive research and deliberation on the various genres we may utilize for our opening sequence. After careful consideration, my groupmate and I have decided to utilize the genre "Horror-Thriller." This is what we want to do because it completely aligns with the topic of our pitch. The potential to appeal to universal concerns and base fears was one of the main reasons for choosing the horror genre. The horror genre possesses an exceptional ability to strike a deep psychological chord with viewers, evoking sincere and instantaneous reactions. I chose horror because I wanted to take viewers to a place where the unknown, the uncanny, and the unsettling are the norm and encourage them to face their worst fears.

Common CAMS - Point of View (POV):  This shot is intended to resemble a character's perspective, giving the viewer the impression that they are viewing the situation from their point of view. Point-of-view views are commonly employed in horror movies to evoke a feeling of suspense and immediacy, as though the viewer is experiencing the events directly. This method can heighten the suspense and foster a stronger sense of character empathy in the viewer. Handheld : This type of shot gives the video a more dynamic and unsteady feel since the camera is not fixed on a tripod. Handheld shots are frequently used in horror movies to evoke a sense of unpredictability and chaos. The overall sensation of dread and suspense can be increased by the shaky camera by adding to a sense of

Pitches Pitch A A housekeeper who cleans large houses for a living receives a call with specific instructions. Curious, she unlocks the closet and discovers a shrine, of herself. Pitch B A girl is streaming a challenge, but nothing happens she's called down, but she hears something in her closet, she approaches and then screams being pulled in. Pitch A Discussion After  receiving a phone referral, a middle-aged housekeeper specializing in cleaning mansions is assigned to take care of the other woman’s home. She is then given detailed instructions on what has to be cleaned and what shouldn’t be cleaned. The omniscient energy turns the housekeeper off as soon as she gets to the residence. The housekeeper can spy since the other woman isn’t home, and when she does, she finds an attic-like room with a shrine containing disturbingly real pictures of herself. Pitch B Discussion A young girl is doing a demon-calling-themed YouTube challenge while live streaming. After completing the cha

December 06  I mostly work alone on all of my projects due to my lack of socializing and keeping to myself. I prefer not to ask anyone to work with me and just wait for someone to approach me. Or I just end up working with it alone. However, this time I was spoken to by a girl who sat next to me. I remember seeing her around the school, but not in the classroom. It caught me off guard, but I was honestly happy. She seemed nice and eager to do the project. I talked with her for a while, she's a nice and enthusiastic person who listens well. Her name is Thandi, and she is a 12 grader meaning a senior. I will work with her on the project, but we plan to add some other people to work with us. I am excited to start this project because I have someone to do it with. This will help me focus on doing my part of the job. I might make new friends and increase some of my other friendships along the way. It will be fun hanging out with someone else then just being alone.

Some specific things about me are that I am 5'1, I wish I was taller, my hair color is black, and my eye color is dark brown, nothing special. My favorite color is black, specifically black matte, I prefer neutral colors like white, black, and between. I like to wear baggy clothes and Y2K because it makes me more comfortable and gives me confidence. Some of my favorite hobbies are reading fiction books and watching scary movies; some side hobbies are drawing and l
