Continuing

The first shots were taken inside my home. Following on to the outside shots, I will need secondhand support. 

Process

I need my brother to film me driving for the second shot. I also need him to film me walking and heading up to the front of the building, then a sudden stop.

Purpose

The portrayal of me driving represents independence. The layout of the sudden stop and facial expression asserts the emotion of being ready to start something new.

Mistakes

The days keep being messed up for different reasons. I forgot I needed to film those certain days. Or the days I need my brother to help me film, he says he is busy. Some of the editing will not be possible.

Late/Missing details

I missed the first week to start my progress. The other shots I need to take inside will be to the end because I am not comfortable with the outcome. The rest of the shots are delayed but will be taken soon. My weekly assignments are still being made so my actual schedule is still not finished.

Thoughts

To be honest, every day I look at my progress and feel like I'm not trying hard enough. Now, to me, my song of choice seems childish, and I keep wanting to change it. 

Ideas

Most of the shots I plan to take are created in my head. I like to listen to music I can relate to. And when I do, my mind creates scenarios, which could be on things that already happened, or things I feel are close to it. The editing also is created through thoughts depending on the beats and emotions portrayed.

Here are her following, exact words: "I absolutely loved the title, Housekeeper, I just feel like it gave a suspenseful vibe like The Beekeeper. Title research: "Underwater"

January 12/24 What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? "Underwater" inserts its title following after a small speech. With an eerie soundtrack in the back fading in as the text appears. Then the title fades in, the letters in a crossed pattern. The credits are shown after in a thin font type, with a pure white color making it stand out in black. What images are prioritized in the opening sequences? It provides us with the specific water body and where the movie takes place. Inserting map markings and newspaper publishing about incidents and information about the place. Images of the structure found in it. And the probable sea monster, which is the main reason for the movie. How does the film establish a feeling of a genre from the outset? It helps establish the feeling of the genre, however, it gives off more first as suspense rather than horror. Fifth Day: Editing Overview

February 25 / 2024 So far, my group partner and I are quite satisfied with the progress we've made in filming our project. We've been able to come to a consensus on the various shots we need to capture for our opening sequence, which is a relief. However, upon transferring the footage to our computer for editing, I noticed a slight change in lighting that obscured some of the props, making them less visible on camera.  Furthermore, as I reviewed the footage, I observed that our actors weren't always reacting appropriately with their facial expressions to the unfolding events. For example, our antagonist is meant to initially appear as a good character before gradually revealing their evil intentions. However, during the editing process, it became apparent that the villain's malevolent nature was evident from the start, which affected the pacing and reveal of the plot.
